Since meeting Scot I have increased my maximum strength, power and lean body mass while decreasing unwanted fat mass. His guidance has allowed me to increase my anaerobic capacity, which is key in a sport like hockey. I think one of the things that makes Scot such an outstanding performance coach is he thoroughly researches all areas of training to ensure that his athletes receive the very best. There is no stone unturned in Scot’s pursuit for getting the most correct and beneficial information to his athletes. He makes you a better athlete.

I hired Scot on the recommendation of my teammates and Agent. My career was in real jeopardy when my contract ran out and I did not have many offers. As a life long back-up in the N.H.L I had no idea how good I could be. Scot performed the most unique and comprehensive evaluation I had ever been through. After finding that my eyesight and one of my reflexes were not optimal for goaltending he took me on as a client. After working with him for the last 7 years I went from back-up to N.H.L Allstar and a secure career. He is a friend and has taught me the true meaning of commitment.

My physical therapist recommended that I call Scot after suffering a back injury in the 2002 season. Scot brought me to even surpass my previous performance level in a shorter time frame and I was coming off an injury. The team did not even expect me in mini-camp yet but because of Scot’s expertise, combined with his work ethic and the extra attention he gave me not only did I show up, I won the starting job. I was not knocked off my feet for the entire camp.

Upon hiring Scot to get me ready for a very demanding N.H.L Hockey season, he had asked me what I thought I needed. I explained to Scot that I thought I was at the later stages of my career and not only did I need to perform at a high level I needed 2 more years before retirement. That was 7 years ago and I was averaging 23 minutes a game at the age of 39. He has taught me more about sport conditioning and lifestyle then I could have ever asked for. “Simply the best” Knowing my role in the N.H.L as an enforcer, I always knew that I had to keep myself strong all year. Little did I know how strong I could get and what muscles I needed to keep strong for my sport. In the last 5 years since Scot has been organizing my training, I have played more minutes and am getting stronger AND quicker ever year.

I call him “The Difference”. As an up and coming goaltender in the N.H.L, I was always looking for that factor that would get me to the top. I thought that it was to train harder and get in better shape. Then Scot taught me what I needed to do to have my body perform as an elite athlete. Balance, surges of speed, eyesight, strength, movement, reflexes, nutrition, and recovery are some of the things Scot does when working with me.
